Women's Burnt Red Biker Leather Jacket

Burnt red is the shade that solves the usual problem with red leather. A bright red reads costume; this one has enough brown in it to sit alongside denim, camel, cream and black without fighting any of them, while still being unmistakably not a neutral. It is the version people actually reach for on a Tuesday rather than saving for an occasion.

Real leather forms the shell, cut to the biker template — asymmetrical zip, wide lapels, close through the body. That shape exists because it was engineered for riding: the off-centre zip removes the bulk of a double placket, and the lapels fold back flat rather than flapping at speed. Eighty years later it is still the most flattering jacket silhouette in most wardrobes.

The wide-lapel collar gives the jacket its attitude. Turned up, it covers the neck properly against wind; folded open, the lapels frame the shoulders and create the V-line that makes the biker cut work on almost every build.

Zipper cuffs with pullers close the wrists down tight or open wide enough to wear over a jumper. It is a small piece of hardware that decides whether a jacket layers in November or only works in September.

One chest zipper pocket and two at the waist handle everything you carry, and the zips mean nothing falls out when the jacket is open. Soft polyester lining keeps it smooth going on over a shirt or knit.
